Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.4 is a utility that helps maintain and clean your system from spyware, hijackers, adware, and other malicious software.
It is a powerful tool that detects and removes a great amount of threads, including those which most antivirus software can´t detect.
With its user friendly interface, Spybot finds it easy to remove harmful threads and can be updated with just a few clicks, giving the user the best protection against new threads.
Each time Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.4 scans your computer and removes malicious software from your computer, it generates a backup file as a security method if something goes wrong.
All this backup files are stored in a recovery list which can be accessed anytime. So if your system doesn't work properly after having performed cleaning, you can access this list and select the restore point by date, so that the system stays the same as it was before the cleaning.
Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.4 has a prevention mode that works silently with the web browser.This mode detects harmful software and prevents it from infecting your system while you surf the net. You can choose among the following prevention options:
Block all bad pages silently - with the help of this option Spybot - Search & Destroy performs an automatic decision to block or not a page based on its malicious thread database.
Display dialog when blocking - this is the same as the first option but it opens a dialog box to inform the user that the page is being blocked.
Ask for blocking confirmation - this option requires the user to accept or deny the blocking.

I check my spyware version. It was the latest and up to date1.5.2.20
Despite that syour Software Informer ask me to update it. Why
